The Humane Society is promoting today as World Spay Day. Traditionally held on the last Tuesday in February, the event raises awareness about pet overpopulation and the need to prevent it through spay/neuter programs.
Pet owners are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a local veterinarian if their pet has not yet been spayed or neutered.
