Jockey Camp

The fourth annual Jockey Camp will be held July 27-29 in Norwalk, Ohio. The camp was founded by Frankie Lovato Jr., an Eclipse Award winning jockey and inventor of the Equisizer horse simulator, a machine used by jockeys worldwide to train for races. The 2012 edition of Jockey Camp will feature additional instruction from Julie Krone, a leading female jockey who won the 1993 Belmont Stakes and 3,703 other races.

While no live horses are used as a part of the camp, it does offer a variety of instructional lectures and demonstrations by industry professionals, time using the Equicizer machine, and networking opportunities. This camp is designed for those who intend to pursue careers as jockeys or exercise riders.
