The highly regarded New Bolton Center (the veterinary clinic at the University of Pennsylvania) has announced a series of lectures designed to educate horse owners and those working in the equine industry. The "First Tuesday" series, taking place on the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., features a variety of topics of interest.

The upcoming February 7th lecture will discuss colic, a common cause of concern for equine managers. Top equine vets will use 3D animation technology to show the internal causes of colic in vivid detail. Future lectures include suspensory ligament disease in March and recognizing emergency situations in April.

Lectures are free to attend, but seating is limited and reservations are required.
