The 2012 North American Veterinary Conference is currently under way in Kissimmee, Florida. During a presentation earlier today, the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) presented a certification path for "Cat Friendly Practices."
The certification path requires a clinic to have a veterinarian on staff that is a member of the AAFP. The clinic must also follow a series of guidelines designed to make cats more comfortable during their stay. It is not necessary for a clinic to be "cat exclusive" to become certified.
